WHY THIS WORK MATTERS SO MUCH TO ME

I love photographing families — the messy, quiet, silly, real-life moments that actually make up your day. I’ve been taking photos since I was a teen, and my parents filmed and photographed everything when I was growing up. Those photos mean so much to me… but here’s the thing: my parents were almost never in the pictures together. Someone was always behind the camera.

That’s when it hit me — families need someone there to capture everyone, so you’re all part of the story. Years from now, your kids will look at these photos and films and see all of you — hugging, laughing, even the little moments they forgot — and feel how loved they were. That’s why I do what I do.

I'VE SEEN IT ALL

Before photography became my full-time work, I spent over 8 years as an early childhood educator — which means big emotions, shy kids, wild toddler energy, and messy homes don’t scare me one bit. I’m calm, patient, and very comfortable following your child’s lead — whether that means stopping to look at a rock, showing me a favourite toy, or needing a little extra time to warm up. My superpower is helping families feel relaxed enough to forget about the camera so real connection can happen.

THIS SEASON IS WORTH REMEMBERING

This isn’t about perfect outfits or perfectly behaved kids. It’s about capturing what this season actually feels like — because one day, you’ll look back and be so glad you were all in the frame together.

A CREATIVE PATH THAT LED ME HERE

I’ve always been surrounded by the arts ever since I was young. Growing up, I played and taught the piano, self-taught myself guitar and am now taking violin lessons. As I’ve gotten older, I've fallen away from music a bit, but still play my instruments here and there. I wanted to fill that void, so I sought after another hobby to pursue that could still allow me to be creative, and I stumbled upon the world of photography and videography. What started as a filler for time soon became a yearning to learn more, to understand composition and framing, to understand how cameras captured motion. Needless to say, I’ve fallen in love with the craft.

THE EXTRAORDINARY IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS

What excites me about capturing family films are the raw emotions and stories that I’m able to witness. Every person, every family has a story that can be told, a story of where they are from, where they are now, and where they want to be. When I walk into a home, it isn’t just a place of living, but also a place that houses the many nuances of their lives, their adventures. These are the moments that I strive to capture; moments that may seem ordinary to them, but are extraordinary for me.

Why it feels different photographing with us?

When we meet new families, we genuinely want to know *you*.

What do you love doing together? What feels important in this season of life?

We can’t wait to learn more about your family and help you capture the real you — not the polished version, but the moments that actually *feel* like you.

Video isn’t an add-on for us.

It’s how we hold onto the laughter, the tiny voices, the songs you sing without thinking, and the way your child reaches for you. Every family deserves to remember their story in motion, not just in still frames.

One thing families often tell us is how different it feels having BOTH of us there.

You get a mother’s perspective — and someone who understands dads too.

We totally get it. Dads often feel a little awkward about photos at first. But with Silas there, we usually see them relax much faster. They find something in common, start chatting, and before they know it, it feels easy.

Having two of us also means extra support.

When we want to capture a quiet moment between just the two of you — yes, mom and dad — one of us can always be there to play with your kids, keep them company, or simply give you a moment to breathe.

There’s no pressure to sit still. No need to behave a certain way.

Kids usually feel comfortable with us quickly — because we let them be themselves.

We don’t believe family photos need to be perfect.

Real life is already enough.

We can’t wait to meet you and tell your family’s story!
