We connect & get to know your family


Start by inquiring through the website. You’ll share a little about your family and what you’re hoping to capture.

We plan a relaxed, personalized experience


Once you’re booked, we’ll take care of the details together. You’ll receive guidance on timing, location (in-home or outdoors), what to wear, and what to expect — especially helpful if you have young kids. Everything is designed to feel simple, flexible, and stress-free.

You show up, be together, and enjoy it


On session day, your only job is to show up and be yourselves. Play, cuddle, laugh, move slowly, or embrace the chaos — we’ll gently guide when needed and capture it all through photos and film. Nothing stiff, nothing rushed, just real moments as they unfold.

Your memories, delivered


You’ll receive your full collection of digital photos and film through an online gallery — easy to view, download, and share with loved ones. These are the moments you’ll come back to again and again, long after this season has passed.

FAQ

How do we book a session with you?

Super easy! You can book through our website, send us an email, or even DM us on Instagram or Facebook. We’ll walk you through all the details.

What if we don’t live in Greater Victoria?

We’re happy to travel! For locations like Sooke, Duncan, or Nanaimo, we charge a $80 flat travel fee.

What if my kids don’t cooperate?

We don’t expect kids to “behave” during their session—and honestly, the more they get to be themselves, the better the photos turn out! Let them lead the way, explore, giggle, or even be a little mischievous. Try not to say no or worry about perfect behavior—when kids feel free, the real smiles and laughter come naturally. Those little in-between moments, uncontrollable giggles, and wind-in-the-hair memories? That’s what we’re here to capture. Today, you get to sit back, relax, and be the cool parents while we capture your family just as you are.

What’s your rescheduling and cancellation policy?

We ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your spot. Life happens—kids get sick, things come up—so we allow one reschedule to be used within six months.

Do we need to tidy up our whole house for an in-home session?

Please don't! We want your home to feel lived-in and authentic, not like a show home. Those little life traces? They make your story beautiful.

What if we choose an outdoor session and it rains?

We live in Victoria, so yes… it rains a lot here in the winter. But honestly, some of the best photos come from dancing in the rain or splashing in puddles—those are the memories you’ll never forget.

If the forecast looks really wet and you’d rather stay dry, no worries! We can start earlier, move the session indoors, or pick a new date that works best for you.

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes! We do a few mini sessions throughout the year—perfect for little milestones or seasonal updates. You can find info on our Instagram or Facebook, or just send us an email at silasandcrystal2024@gmail.com and we’ll fill you in.

When will we get our gallery?

You can expect your full gallery within 2–3 weeks—enough time for us to give each photo the love it deserves!

Do you give out raw images?

Nope! Editing is part of the art, and we make sure every image is polished, thoughtful, and ready to enjoy.
